TEAK DECK RECAULKING

(or how to refit joints properly)


Who would have thought it ? A teak deck can last one hundred years !!!

1. Préparation du pont : enlever les anciens joints et nettoyer les gorges en les creusant.

2. Ôter les vis apparentes, repercer, remettre de la résine, coller un capet en teck (pas de photo).

3. Mettre en place des rubans de scotch protecteurs le long des gorges.

4. Enduire le pont de Sikaflex 290 DC, après avoir utilisé la primaire correspondante.

5. Laisser sécher et poncer.

NB : Unfortunately, I did not receive the pictures of the completed deck. But I saw it ; it was quite successful.
