saltwater washdown pump
Photo 233: This is a saltwater washdown pump I installed in the bow with a fitting in the anchor locker to attach a hose to for washing the anchor and chain, and I suppose the children too! There was an existing through hull fitting in this area that was no longer used so I connected the pump and ran the hose. I routed the hose up through the v-berth and into the small locker at the top. There I installed a bulkhead fitting that allows a hose with nozzle to be connected on the anchor locker side of the bulkhead. For the electrical I ran wire forward from the electrical panel under the floor. I used 8 AWG wire to account for voltage drop and it is connected to a 15amp circuit breaker.
